Electronic Pitch Calling System Using Your Own Devices
Pitch Dynamics is a modern electronic pitch calling system built to run on the devices your team already owns—Apple and Android phones, tablets, smartwatches, and Bluetooth headsets.
What Is an Electronic Pitch Calling System?
An electronic pitch calling system allows coaches to send pitch selections or defensive instructions digitally from the dugout to players on the field. With Pitch Dynamics, coaches use their phone or tablet to send pitch calls securely to a watch worn by the catcher, pitcher, and/or players — or spoken aloud through a Bluetooth headset worn by the catcher, who then relays the call to the pitcher with a hand signal. This eliminates hand signals, reduces errors, prevents sign stealing, and keeps costs low. Be sure to check with your local sanctioning body to verify your league rules regarding electronic pitch calling devices.

- Card Mode with printable coded calling cards — for coaches who prefer verbal calls, or as a backup on the rare occasion a venue causes interference
How Pitch Dynamics Electronic Pitch Calling Works
Coaches
Coaches send pitch calls using a phone or tablet through a fast, simple in-game interface.
Players
Catchers can receive pitch calls spoken aloud through a Bluetooth headset, then relay the call to the pitcher with a hand signal. Pitchers and fielders can also receive pitch calls and defensive plays directly on their watches with clear visual cues and vibration alerts.
Secure, One-Way Communication
Encrypted digital signals prevent sign stealing with no two-way messaging.
No player-to-coach responses. No interception. No sign stealing.

New: Audible Pitch Calls
Send pitch calls as voice through a Bluetooth headset worn by your catcher. The catcher hears the call, then relays it to the pitcher with a hand signal.
- Works with most Bluetooth headsets — no proprietary hardware
- Customize how pitches are pronounced with a team-level voice dictionary (e.g. "OS Screw" is spoken as "off speed screw")
- Choose any voice installed on your phone and adjust speech rate to match your tempo
- Fully offline — audio is generated on the coach's phone, no internet required
- Pitch is also still sent to player watches at the same time — audible doesn't replace the watch path, it adds to it
Venue Link Check — Know Before You Play
Pitch Dynamics delivers reliably at the vast majority of venues. On occasion, a venue's wireless speaker system, scoreboard, or AV equipment can interfere with BLE delivery — and you won't know until pitches are missed mid-game. Venue Link Check gives you the answer during warmups, not during at-bats.
- Have your player stand at the pitcher's spot with their watch on — tap Start and the app streams 30 live test signals over 30 seconds
- The watch shows a live tally of messages received vs. expected, the longest gap, and signal strength (RSSI)
- Results return a clear three-tier verdict: Good (29–30 delivered, no significant gaps), Caution (usable with minor adjustments), or Problem (relocate or change strategy before first pitch)

Card Mode — Call Pitches Your Way

Some coaches simply prefer calling out numbers — it's a tradition in the game, and with Card Mode, that preference can come with a full analytics payoff. You can generate unique pitch-calling cards from within the app. Then print them our and you ready to call signals verbally. When paired with the analytics tier, you call the number then record the result in the Pitch Dynamics app. These results can now feed your in-game and post-game analytics.
- On the rare occasion a venue causes Bluetooth interference, a device gets left behind or you prefer to call out pitches, Card Mode is already in your bag
- Cards are generated in the app and emailed as print-ready PDFs in two sizes for large and small wrist bands
- Every regeneration creates a new randomized layout
- Pitch cards cover your team's full pitcher repertoire
- When paired with the analytics tier, every pitch result is still recorded in Pitch Dynamics — your analytics keep running, your season data stays complete
Call the pitch. Record the result. Get your analytics. No matter the situation or your preference, you never miss a beat.
Offensive Play Cards
Pair your pitch-calling cards with a matching set of Offensive Play Cards. Customize your offensive plays from within the app, then generate and print your cards. Coaches can relay base-running assignments, bunt coverage, steal calls, and situational plays using the same coded-card system.
- Covers base-running, situational plays, and any offensive signals your staff uses
- Coaches carry a full reference card; players wear a compact wrist card showing only their codes
- Generated your pitch cards in app and emailed as print-ready PDFs in both large and small wristband sizes, along with a coaches card
- Every regeneration creates a new randomized layout
- Randomized color coded cards ensure the entire staff is on the current version

DP/Flex Lineup Generator — Build Your Softball Lineup with Confidence

Managing a softball lineup — especially with the DP/Flex rule — means tracking a web of substitution possibilities that can get complicated fast. The Pitch Dynamics Lineup Generator walks your staff through the entire process, from building your starting nine to navigating mid-game substitutions, so you always know your options before you make a move.
- Build a 9 or 10-player batting lineup from your team roster in minutes
- Assign defensive positions to each player, including your Designated Player (DP) and Flex
- The app validates your lineup against all DP/Flex rules before you lock it in — no guesswork at the plate meeting
- During the game, the app presents only the legal substitution options available to you — re-entry, DP taking the field, Flex entering the batting order — so you're never second-guessing the rulebook mid-inning
- Generate and email a clean, print-ready lineup card for your scorekeeper
Analytics Dashboard: Turn Every Pitch Into Insight
The Pitch Dynamics Analytics Dashboard turns every pitch into a data point that works for you — not just a tally on a scorebook. Over the course of a game, a practice, and a full season, the platform builds a complete performance picture for each pitcher on your staff, scoring them across multiple areas of pitching effectiveness. Every metric is automatically benchmarked against the standards that are specific to your sport and level of play — so whether you coach youth baseball, high school softball, or a college program, each pitcher is measured against the right bar for where they compete, not a one-size-fits-all number.
Beyond individual scorecards, the analytics reveal the tactical story behind the numbers. See how a pitcher approaches different parts of the batting order, where performance shifts as counts change, and which pitch combinations are generating outs versus giving hitters second chances. Coaches with multiple pitchers can compare their entire staff side by side — making rotation decisions, workload planning, and player development conversations more grounded in real data. And at every level of the dashboard, the platform doesn't just surface numbers — it delivers coaching context that connects each metric to real on-field outcomes, giving you a clear read on what to work on next and exactly why it matters.
